Adán Bean: The Ground

Attendees at Habitat for Humanity’s affiliate conference this spring, including our executive director, got to see a performance by spoken word poet Adán Bean. Bean performed a work written about Habitat called “The Ground.”

This poem speaks to Habitat’s values. Its message is something we always keep in mind when we’re working on new homes with our partner families. It is especially relevant to this year’s Faith Build as we partner with the local faith community to build a home. Our community of volunteers, donors, and partner families works together to uplift each other. If you’d like to participate in our Faith Build this year, or in a different construction or home preservation project, visit our website to sign up.
